Lagos Life vs Lagos Run: Two Different Lagos Games

Lagos Life and Lagos Run are two completely different games that people keep mixing up — and it is easy to see why. Both are free Nigerian browser games, both have "Lagos" in the name, and both show up in the same searches. Here is how to tell them apart so you find the game you actually want.

Lagos Life: the Lagos life sim

Lagos Life is the one this site is about — a free browser life-simulation game by Elicity, "The Sims, but for Lagos." You create your Lagosian, explore neighborhoods like Lekki Phase 1, Ikoyi, Yaba, and Banana Island, and visit other players' homes. It is a slow, social, lifestyle game about living your Lagos story. You play it at lagoslife.eliysites.com, and there is no app to download. Read our full Lagos Life game guide for everything it offers.

Lagos Run: the danfo driving game

Lagos Run is a different game entirely — a viral browser game about driving a danfo bus from Ojuelegba to Yaba, made by a developer called Eureka (Opeyemi Adeniran). It is an arcade-style driving game: dodge traffic, survive the chaos of Lagos roads, and get your passengers where they are going. Same Lagos energy, totally different gameplay.

Side by side

Think of it this way: Lagos Life is about living in Lagos; Lagos Run is about driving through it. One is a life sim where you build an identity and visit homes. The other is a fast, chaotic driving game where the danfo is the star. Different makers, different websites, different games — they just share a city and a naming coincidence.
